Verizon Bets on the Lower East Side with HQ Move to Essex Crossing
Telecom giant, Verizon, is betting big on the Lower East Side.
The company yesterday signed a lease at Essex Crossing, and will relocate hundreds of its employees from 140 West to Delancey Street, the New York Post reported. Verizon will take 143,000 square-feet of commercial space on the third, fourth, and fifth floors of the luxury apartment tower called The Artisan.
The deal reportedly includes rights to put the brand’s name and logo on the commercial facade of the building itself.
The big deal comes just a year after Essex Crossing began marketing its office offerings.
