Two men were taken into custody this weekend in connection with a shooting that shattered a school window on the Lower East Side.

The noontime arrest – caught on camera by a bystander – played out as street theater, much like a scene from Law & Order. And the clip immediately went viral on TikTok, amassing more than one million views.

Officers on patrol are seen, with guns drawn, removing the two perps from the vehicle, which was pulled over on Grand Street just west of Allen. The driver was operating an unregistered, suspended car with no insurance or license, cops said. Both also carry extensive criminal histories.

The crime for which they are suspects transpired last Thursday (December 9) at 10:00am near the entrance to Sara D. Roosevelt Park at Broome and Forsyth. An altercation between two groups of individuals escalated, and gunshots were fired, one of which allegedly missed the target and hit the window of the Great Oaks Charter School at 38 Delancey Street.
