Covid Vaccination Hub at Essex Crossing Closes on Sunday
The mass community vaccination site at Essex Crossing is winding down operations this weekend.
Sunday is the last day of operation for the Covid-19 vaccine center at 244 Broome Street. Those folks needing the jab can do so between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
The Lower East Side hub began inoculating the community exactly a year ago, just as the city opened up vaccination to the general population. It occupied a vacant ground-floor unit at 244 Broome, the fourteen-story condo building that also houses the International Center of Photography and the Gutter bowling alley
Lines snaked around the block when the doors first opened.
