Talk Smack: Straphanger at Delancey Station Bludgeoned After Asking Junkie Not to Shoot Up
A straphanger riding the J train last week was bludgeoned with an iron pipe after telling a junkie not to shoot up in the car, several media outlets reported.
The 31-year-old victim had been traveling on a northbound J train at around 5:20pm last Wednesday, cops said, when he spotted a man pulling out a syringe needle. When he asked the junkie not to shoot up while on the train, the attacker smacked him over the head with a metal pipe.
The perp then exited the subway at Delancey Street/Essex Street station, and fled. He’s still on the loose.
The victim was reportedly shuttled to Bellevue hospital, and was conscious and alert.
