Scoville Hot Chicken Franchise Brings More Wings to Hell Square
The Atlanta-based chicken chain, Scoville Hot Chicken, is pushing north of the Mason Dixon line and headed straight to the Lower East Side. It’s been quietly building out a new location on Orchard Street just above Delancey in a former dollar pizza joint.
Sourced from MarJac Farms, their chicken is Halal and free of antibiotics or hormones. Spice levels on the menu range from Chill to Reaper.
We’re told that this franchise is set to open tomorrow (March 23).
The name itself is a nod to the Scoville scale, which is a heat index measuring the pungency of hot peppers.
The arrival of Scoville at 117 Orchard marks the second such fast-food joint to open on the block this year. Indeed, Wing-Stop is directly across the street.
