Supreme Burberry Madness on the Bowery
The Supreme collaboration with Burberry was a complete shitshow last week, from midtown to the Bowery.
It began last Wednesday when hordes of street-fashionistas and opportunists queued outside the Lower East Side headquarters of Supreme at 190 Bowery. Folks waited from early morning to late night in order to snag a merch for the first-come-first-served event.
The launch attracted an estimated crowd numbering in the thousands over the course of the day, with police presence to match.
Emotions ran equally high the next day, at the Dover Street Market at 30th and Lexington. Where the Lower East Side was tense, midtown devolved into a brawl.
The new Burberry-Supreme collection features a $998 leather trenchcoat, $598 down puffer, $298 denim trucker jacket, $198 hooded sweatshirt, $198 jeans, and $168 jean shorts.
