Luxury 355 Grand Street Shows Itself

It was six years ago that the centuries-old Federal row house at 355 Grand Street came down. That’s also how long it took for the new development to finally enter the world.

Only in the last couple weeks has there been any activity at 355 Grand, a residential development that dates back to spring of 2015. The cloak of bars and black netting is now gone, revealing the latest luxury to dot the Lower East Side.

After purchasing the property for $4 million in December 2014, Interboro Properties spent the next two years demolishing a structure that had been on the corner since the 1820s. Flowers Cafe and Vic’s Pizza didn’t survive, either. The six-story mixed-use building boasts two enormous apartments spanning 4,653 square-feet – one duplex and one triplex – and a 2,282 square-foot commercial unit.

No official listings are on the market just yet, though.
