The man accused of shooting to death a straphanger in an apparent random attack on a subway train subway morning is now in police custody.
Andrew Abdullah, 25, identified as the suspect in the shooting, turned himself in to cops at the 5th Precinct yesterday. Apparently the surrender was aided by Lamor Whitehead, an ex-con-turned-clergyman with ties to Mayor Adams. (His Rolls Royce was parked outside the police station.)

Abdullah, a purported career criminal, is accused of firing a single round into the chest of Daniel Enriquez Sunday morning while aboard a Manhattan bound Q train that approached Canal Street.
Chinatown has been on edge after the shooting because many Chinese living in Brooklyn commute via the Q & N lines, and were concerned if riding the subway to work was safe while the suspect was still at large.
With the surrender, Chinatown residents and visitors can breathe a collective sigh of relief knowing he is not roaming the neighborhood.
