The speedy proliferation of weed joints is not exclusive to the Lower East Side. Chinatown is getting higher, too.

Chinatown has been seeing some new growth post pandemic with eateries and coffee spots but this latest addition raises the bar higher.

Little Cafe LLC debuted its My Happy Weed at 56 Mulberry Street this past Sunday. The newcomer aims to make their customers happy with weed.  Offerings of branded marijuana include “Blue Cookie,” “Turtle,” “Dolato” and “Grand Daddy Purple,” with four additional strains in the works.  Product is sold prepackaged in two cigarette packs, and seven grams. However, customers who are 21 and older can buy whatever quantity desired (with ID).

The new dispensary caters to a recreational use crowd or those seeking marijuana’s medicinal benefits.

The New York State legislature legalized recreational marijuana use and sales in April 2021, but obtaining a retail license can be a lengthy process.

This latest addition to Chinatown may certainly boost sales at bakeries and eateries for those with the “munchies.”

My Happy Weed counts a second store in Bay Ridge.
