After seven years of operations on the Lower East Side, the Laurel Gitlen Gallery is out of commission. The eponymous owner announced as much in an email blast to friends on Monday. Laurel Gitlen is now comfy in her new showroom, just a few months after walking out on a four-year residency at 261 Broome Street, the former Lower East Side BID visitors center.
