Every year during the week preceding Passover, the Pickle Guys at 49 Essex Street, now the only game on the Lower East Side, bring part of the brine spectacle to the sidewalk sphere. Spicy horseradish!

Guss’ Pickles Officially Gone from Lower East Side

It’s now official – Guss’ Pickles (nay, Ess-a-Pickle) is forever gone from the Lower East Side. If you crave their delicious brand of pickles or Passover horseradish, you’ll need to schlep out to Borough Park. Visual confirmation is nailed to the shuttered gates of 87 Orchard Street.
