This story is just all sorts of tragic. Shortly after 10 pm last Thursday evening, a woman crossed Allen Street near Epstein’s just as “a garbage truck in the left lane bolted RIGHT when the light turned green.”

Early Tuesday morning (1:30 am), a Daily News newspaper delivery truck heading eastbound on Delancey veered off course and crashed into the Essex Street facade of Olympic Restaurant.

At roughly 3:00 pm yesterday afternoon, a Mercedes struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk at the northern intersection of Essex and Grand Streets. Word has just come through the wire that a cyclist was hit by a truck at the corner of Delancey and Bowery. The tipster wrote in saying, “Cyclist just got crushed by truck on Delancey and Bowery south east corner. He was in the crossing lane and had the light.”
