Slow news week this is not. It is with heavy heart that we break news late today about the departure of the Living Room from its ten-year residence at 152 Ludlow Street.

A mere three months ago, Cake Shop was in dire straits, facing eviction from 152 Ludlow Street. Things are looking much better these days for the Lower East Side venue.

In the wake of last month’s shutter scare, the seven-year-old Cake Shop continues to jockey for funds to keep the business running at Ludlow Street.

Some angels came to the rescue of Cake Shop at donating the $10,000 needed to stay afloat. Temporarily.
