Firefighters Respond To Suspicious Car Yesterday Morning

Yesterday morning, before Orchard Street woke up for another day of business, the early-risers were greeted with fire engines and hazmat vehicles. No sirens, though. The first responders had a Mercury sedan on a jack while servicing the undercarriage. It wasn’t clear what was happening, but was a bit unnerving.

Southbound Bowery Lowrider

Last weekend, a lowrider was headed southbound on the Bowery, blasting War’s “Low Rider” at full volume. The noise was unavoidable, but the scene was quite hysterical, drawing stares from passing pedestrians and bikers alike.

Campagna T-Rex on East Houston

Saturday afternoon, a flatbed truck carrying an interesting bright red vehicle was parked alongside the median between East Houston and First Street, near First Avenue. Its presence was conspicuous and virtually unavoidable – the perfect eye candy.
