Hipster hangout Pianos is ditching concert promo posters for fancy window lettering at 158 Ludlow.  Instead, it’s all about the menu. Fresh leafing recently applied to the glass champions its lunch and dinner options.

Bun & Co. Now Open at 78 Rivington

So that explains why the Chico mural outside the old Kampuchea was whitewashed last week. The Allen Street facade of 78 Rivington is now the de facto store signage for the new sandwicherie Bun & Co.

88 Orchard Announces New Summer Menu

Yesterday, 88 Orchard officially announced its new summertime menu.  The small plates are served daily after 6 pm, and include ingredients sourced from a handful of culinary neighbors – Il Laboratorio del Gelato, Saxelby Cheesemongers, The Pickle Guys, and Formaggio Essex. Also, sangria is now part of their wine list.

Otarian Now Open at 154 Bleecker Street

Yesterday, after months shrouded in “coming soon” wrapping paper, eco-friendly Otarian opened to the public at 154 Bleecker Street. Doors are open, signs are up, and menus in the windows.

Le Cubain Re-Branded as Sebastian LC

Le Cubain at 81 Ludlow recently updated its image.  The dark-green marquee has been painted over, and will likely be replaced by the new name sometime soon – Sebastian LC.  Not much personality there.  Menus are also updated.
