In the latest issue of Sensitive Skin Magazine, the editors have culled a number of stunning neighborhood photographs from the 1980s. Each of the images was shot by photographer Ted Barron.

Today is the official launch of the Tenement Museum’s photo archives. Their collection includes over 1,300 images culled from the last century, and is an extremely useful resource. Be sure to poke around the database, and take a little stroll down memory lane.

While reading 92YTribeca, we stumbled upon ForumNYC which has a trove of New York City photos from the late 1970s. Here are some choice selections capturing the Lower East Side, along with contemporary snapshots of same. Enjoy! East Houston, looking southwest.
