No doubt a budget eats spot from the get-go, Funini attempted to woo the masses with its “fun panini” concept. But, in the end, the neighborhood newcomer couldn’t press quite enough sandwiches to keep the lights on.

The Little Shoe Store Opens Permanent Shop at 58 Orchard

Boutiques aren’t as prevalent on the southern stretch of Orchard Street, below Grand. This nook of the neighborhood is dominated more by a plethora of likeminded galleries, one of which recently closed to make way for some fashionable retail.
