Salon 94 at 243 Bowery is running faster, jumping higher, and dunking harder with its latest multimedia show. The Bowery just lost another restaurant supplier – Prince Restaurant Equipment at 241 Bowery. Earlier this week, we watched as one ladder-bound laborer carefully removed the orange awning from the storefront. Directly below, a store for rent sign is affixed to the window near the entrance of the Sunshine Hotel.

As reported last month, Salon 94 now has a location at 243 Bowery, right next door to the controversial tapas restaurant currently in the works. This is the second Lower East Side gallery outpost, and third citywide, for the company.

Because there aren’t enough galleries on the Bowery already, what’s one more? Beginning May 15, the on-again-off-again storefront at 243 Bowery (corner of Stanton) will become part of the Salon 94 mini-empire. Salon 94 Bowery joins the three-year-old Salon 94 Freemans as their second Lower East Side gallery location, and third citywide. The trifecta, if you will.
