Update: Sam Chang’s Delancey Holiday Inn

Posted April 19, 2010 at 6:34 am

It’s been a steady eight months of inactivity at 148-154 Delancey.  Last summer, the row of old-school retail was razed to make way for Sam Chang’s new six-story Holiday Inn hotel venture. But alas, that graffiti, like the adjacent tenement windows, will soon be masked by a six-story McSam Holiday Inn. Thanks for the hotel, […]

Last August, we reported that hotel guru Sam Chang purchased 148-154 Delancey for a slender $15.75 million. In that time, plans of a new six-story Holiday Inn were revealed, but the old low-rise vacants remained nonetheless. As did the annoying sidewalk sheds and scaffolding. Until now. Armed with fresh DOB permits, the demolition crews are […]

Sam Chang Invades LES

Get ready for more development on Delancey, between Suffolk and Clinton. Hotel mogul Sam Chang reportedly [link] purchased 148-154 Delancey for a cool $15.75 million. Because of the impending rezoning, the site will have a building area exceeding approximately 47,000 square feet. We can probably expect another towering luxury hotel and plenty of parasitic bars. […]
