This was the scene on Broome Street yesterday afternoon after a truck reportedly backed into some scaffolding. Yellow crime scene tape was strung across most of the block between Eldridge and Forsyth Streets. Oops. All was cleared by nightfall.

Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center is reawakening after a long slumber. Her eyes are opening ever so slowly, but there’s still plenty of crust lingering.

Late last week, the new condo tower at 60 Orchard Street worked one final striptease before giving up the pole for good. The process of removing netting, wood beams, and scaffolding began Thursday.
