Roughly forty-eight hours after strong winds violently revealed the ghost of Vicmarr Electronics’ past on Delancey, there is now a fresh canopy in place. Yesterday afternoon, a pair of workers on ladders installed the new store signage for Schames Paint Supply, which is relocating north from its perennial Essex Street HQ.

The East Broadway Kosher Bakery at 363 Grand Street upgraded its store signage yesterday. It’s a subtle, yet quite effective makeover.

Saturday’s powerful wind gusts revealed some choice ghost signage at 88 Delancey, between Orchard and Ludlow. As reported last month, Subway is opening another franchise location at 66 Delancey (aka Subway 66). To officially announce its presence, the future foot-long hub added a huge hype banner to the storefront scaffolding yesterday morning. Subman likely to follow!

The Stop 1 Deli outpost at the southeast corner of Allen and Stanton Streets is now boasting a new image. Its busted old illuminated signage and tattered awning was recently replaced with something a bit more contemporary.

Ladies and gentlemen, Doghouse Saloon is officially official. Indeed, after six months catering to the frat set at 152 Orchard Street, proper signage is finally in place. “The Doghouse” is now stenciled across the security gate housing.
