About a week ago, the sub-level Bia Garden at 154 Orchard Street closed and embarked on a series of interior renovations. Not to worry, though. Word on the street is that the eatery will reopen soon with a new twist.

Snack Dragon Taco Shack Opening Tomorrow

As reported earlier this month, East Village taco stand Snack Dragon is opening another location at 164 Orchard Street. And it’s almost ready. The black-and-yellow signage, which sort of resembles a ransom note, was hoisted over the weekend. As was a string of festive Christmas lights.

Casa Mezcal Opens Up in Soft Launch

Now that the Orchard Street Snack Dragon is out of the bag, we can return to the other Mexican restaurant launching further south at the corner of Broome. It’s been a long time coming, but Casa Mezcal at 86 Orchard Street is now in soft launch mode. Take a look.
