Dead pig encounters are not an uncommon occurrence in Chinatown. Trucks make frequent deliveries of slaughtered carcasses to meat wholesalers and restaurants around the neighborhood.

When Trucks Back Into Scaffolding on Broome Street

This was the scene on Broome Street yesterday afternoon after a truck reportedly backed into some scaffolding. Yellow crime scene tape was strung across most of the block between Eldridge and Forsyth Streets. Oops. All was cleared by nightfall.
